CCIA Attending MIGS 2013

During November 11th and 13th in 2013, China Cultural Industry Association organized delegation and attended the 10th Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS), representing China as the Guest Country of Honor. It was the first time that MIGS appointed a guest country. The summit is one of the world';;;;;;s top game summits which attracted 150 renowned cartoon and video game companies from 15 countries to the exhibition. As many as 2000 professionals exchanged their opinions there. The event got such a great support from the Ministry of Culture of the P.R.C. that was listed in the 2013-2014 China-Canada cultural exchange programs.

With the guidance of the Ministry of Culture of the P.R.C., China Cultural Industry Association organized domestic animation and games enterprises, such as Shanghai Baoshan Science Park, Tianjin inspiration and creativity Sci-Tech development Inc., Mokylin Group, Anhui Hesheng investment management co., LTD and the others to join the exhibition.

On November 11th, Chinese delegation held a guest of honor reception. Mr. Yu Benlin, the Chinese Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs from Chinese Embassy in Canada; Mr. Zhang Lanchun, the Minister Counsellor for Education Affairs; Mr. Li Dongwen, the Minister Counsellor for Cultural Affairs; Sun Ruofeng, the supervisor of the Department of Cultural Industries of the Ministry of Culture of the P.R.C., Mr. Zhang Bin, the president of CCIA, Mr. Jean Francois Riise, the Canadian Quebec international relations and Foreign Trade Minister, Mr. He Fang, the Commercial Consul of the Chinese Consulate-General in Montreal; Mr. Zhai Jianjun, the Educational Consul of Chinese Consulate-General in Montreal and Mr. Stephane D’Astous, the chairman of Québec Digital Industry Alliance, were all invited to attend the summit and give speeches.

Mr. Zhang Bin and Mr. Stephane D’Astous signed the Memorandum of Understanding on a long-term mutually beneficial cooperation in complementary resources, information sharing, etc.
