Launched by Mr. Zhang Bin and renowned entrepreneur Mr. Niu Gensheng , the "Zhang Bin - Niu Gensheng - Bethune Fund" was established at the University of Toronto on August 16, 2013. Mr. Zhang Bin, President of China Cultural Industry Association, Mr. David Palmer, vice president of University of Toronto and Ms.Catherine Whiteside, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, as well as other university associates attended the ceremony. It is the first time that the Chinese entrepreneurs set up a dedicate fund in Canadian universities.It is also the first Chinese entrepreneurs to establish educational fund in University of Toronto. Xinhua News and other media had reported it and received positive responses from international society.
